Me on Monday

It was a weekend of 'this time last week' conversations and looking at photos, uploading them onto a photo book website, filing away the maps and tourist guide books and telling anyone who cares to listen how lovely Lisbon is to visit.
The central heating has quietly clicked on in the mornings, Autumn has arrived.  We keep the boiler going all year round but with the thermostat on low so the heating doesn't switch on until the temperature drops.  So the fact that it is now turning on in the mornings is justification for me to mention that it is 'freezing' outside.  Exaggerate?  Me? Never!
A weekend of proper roast pork Sunday lunch and a new Mary Berry recipe for spiced Apple Cake for dessert.  Football on the TV, the opportunity to curl up with a book while the husband frets about Spurs' form this season.
At the moment I can hear the rain outside and I'm just contemplating whether or not it is dark enough to put on the lights beating in mind that it's only 4.30. P's just taken Coco for a walk and both of them have their winter raincoats on.  So as I wave to Sian and her merry bunch of Me on Mondayers, I'll share this photo with you.  Me on Monday

What a nice bunch of mail I came home to today. Money off vouchers and the new quilting magazine. Time to put the kettle on and have a bit of a browse.

Yes, it's frightening how it suddenly seems to have clicked over to autumn, just like that. Our heating is roaring away here today though, as your quilting magazine reminds me, at least there is cosying up indoors and making things to look forward to. And catalogues! Your right, lots of vouchers and tempting catalogues at the minute.

Have a great week Deb

Last week we experience a too soon for Autumn's chill weather. This week we are returning to summer's wave of hey I haven't left yet +27 (c) temperatures. Oh a new magazine in the mail. I do miss the scrapping magazines that use to come in the mail. Hope you have a cozy week.

It's cooler here as well, highs in low 80s so we enjoyed eating lunch outside :)

I visited Lisbon a lifetime ago when I was a student ... it was an amazing city. I am with you on it being freezing, and it is definitely time for the heating to be on.

I'm with you .... It's freezing lol. Definitely time to start thinking of gorgeou new projects to try. I think I might treat myself to a quilting magazine after seeing yours x

Despite the freezing temperatures, it sounds rather cozy around there with the Sunday roast pork (yum) and apple spice cake. Temps here are flirting with being cooler, but fickle too - here expecting it to get hotter as the week goes on.

Just yesterday I worked out that its 28 days since my holiday! You know the one ... where I saw Benny? ;-) How can that be so long ago now?!!!

We've had the heating on a few times this month ... my feet don't anticipate being warm again until around June ...

Ahh yes those "this time last week" thoughts - a great way of extending the memories of vacations/trips. We dipped down into the single digits this morning and heard the furnace come on. I love the colours of fall but the temps are another story. :)
