Fizz in the afternoon

Drinking prosecco at 3 in the afternoon, Winson Churchill giving a speech on the TV - it can only mean one thing

The 75th Anniversary of VE Day.

We didn't have a street party with everyone 6ft apart, but we still felt part of it by having a slice of Victoria Sandwich Cake and a glass of fizz.

We didn't have a street party either as we don't have anyone opposite in the whole road. We had a picnic and raised a glass instead.

We had rather flat homemade cranberry scones, tea and a glass of Champagne whilst watching the VE Day coverage from the BBC.

You know how to celebrate - ah to champagne! No parties here either, but we had snow. Lots of TV specials & I felt proud that we had lots of flags flying. I enjoyed The Queen's speech & liked how she timed it to the time of her Father's speech.

Sounds like a good safe celebration.
