Quizzes

The reunion quiz night last night was such fun. The pub landlord said there were too many of us to all be on the same team so we had to split into 3 teams so names went into a hat and we all changed places. Needless to say, none of us won and thank goodness for that! If one of our teams had come first, the other two would never have heard the end of it.
The 'boys' were all fired up after the magnificent rugby match on Saturday. That was the reason so many of them were back in town, they always get together for the big England rugby matches and go to Twickenham together. My in depth knowledge of trashy TV shows proved worthy despite their derision, and in the end it was a sporty round that caused our failure! I was quite relieved at that as I was famous for being the most unsporty person in the class so no one expected me to participate in that round! Winning or losing was not the reason to be there though and it was such fun to see everyone again.
Photos were taken at the end of the evening and hopefully I will receive a couple via email later so will post at a later date. Not sure of the quality though, it's a very small, traditional, old fashioned pub and the lighting was not brilliant and (how do I say this nicely?) there were 16 of us and some are a little larger than they were when they were the hunks of the school rugby team, we were a little squashed together to get everyone in the viewfinder ;-)

Inspired by your reunion, my friend and I had a brilliant hours chat on the phone last night about a reunion we went to a few years back. We can totally relate to the erstwhile rugby hunks comment. Very funny, but very worthwhile.

I love the fact that everyone knew you wouldn't know the sporty answers - it would be the same round here

Sounds like you had such fun! We still go out with friends from the boys school, about once or twice a year. Last time we met up, we realised we had known each other ten years and I think we enjoyed it so much and valued the time and the fact we alll have the same memories that I'm going to do my best to make sure everyone meets up more often. We nearly always meet at Christmas because its the only time most people are "home" from their other lives.

That sounds like a ton of fun! At my prior job, we would participate in a charity trivia function that was always a great evening.

LOL at the image of 16 of you squeezed in for the quiz!!

You will have to come along to one of the Thursday evening crops at Shepreth...they're fortnightly & Nina is lovely. No kit, just bring along your own projects, 5pm-10pm & the shop is full of lovely things too!!

Well done you for helping them out with the score despite their derision - just goes to show that sporting prowess and knowledge does not always win the day! Glad you had a great time... Funny how young 'hunks' seem to get less hunkish as the years go by ...

Pretty cool blog you've got here. Thanx for it. I like such themes and everything that is connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more soon.
