I'm sure I'm not the only one whose email inbox is full of fantastic sale offers from any website I may have ordered from online over the last year. Special codes, extra discounts on the discounts, free postage and packing ...
I can't tell you how many things I've almost bought. How many things I've clicked on, added to a basket and then never gone through to actually buy. I think at the back of my mind I knew they would just be impulse buys that I was just buying because they were at a greatly discounted price. But there was one thing that I had seen on the website and fallen for. Something that I knew I would get a lot of use out of, and would never, ever have paid full price for. It was from a brand which has a shop in our home town. And my niece works there. So when I popped into town yesterday and popped into the shop, it really was just to say 'hi' to her. Or was it? 😉
'We've got some great things in the sale' she said.
'I know, I've been looking on line'.
'Some things that were 25% off have just been marked down again to 50%'.
'Really?'
Next thing I knew I was walking out with this little beauty in my hand ...
And inside it was the softest, warmest sweater that you can imagine. I just love the colour. I mean, it was still expensive, but not as over the top pricey as it was when it was full price.
If they keep reducing prices, I may have to pop in and say hi to Kirsty again ...

I know what you mean about those sales! I've done exactly the same thing---added things to my online basket and then walked away. Then I get emails reminding me that I've left something in my cart---and "oh, by the way" did you know there's free shipping! But I have to admit, I did succumb to a big sale. I simply went to get a birthday gift---a charm from Pandora for my SIL. I don't have Pandora nor know much about it. But it just so happened---all the Christmas charms were 45% off if you bought 3. Wellll, I started thinking about what a surprise this would be for next year to buy my three daughters a bracelet and two charms. Then, I'd start a tradition that I would take them shopping to add a charm each year. Of course, I needed one too! By the time I left, I had spent nearly $1000!! But it was all on sale!! The things I tell myself!
Happy New Year Deb & what a wonderful way to start the year off than with that very pretty sweater. One thing I think I need to focus on this year is my wardrobe & updating & culling.
That jumper looks lovely on you and 50% off is always a result, no matter what the original price may have been. I've avoided the shops like the plague ...
