OMGosh! Blackberries are done and gone by the 4th of July here! As if I would know! I haven't picked blackberries since my mom made us suit up with long sleeves and jeans in the midst of the ungodly summer heat! I just remember it took a lot of picking to fill a pail!
Your food foraging reminded me of a scene from Raised By Wolves (BBC tv show shown in Canada last year) - you did well to find such near perfect fruits. For us the birds would fight you for any blackberries left ...
I was thinking maybe time to get back to the One & Twenty meme ...
