Me on Monday

Today's the day we have been waiting for, a day we booked as soon as we could, an actual 'get out of the house and drive to the other side of town' kind of day.

This afternoon we will be getting our first vaccinations!  We hadn't expected our age group to reach the top of the list quite so quickly so it's a great surprise.  I've already assumed that we won't be feeling that brilliant tomorrow as I've heard mixed stories about reactions and side effects.  Watch this space!

In other news, our new outdoor dining table and chairs is arriving this afternoon.  Ordered three weeks ago, what were the chances it would be out for delivery on the one day that we both have to go out at the same time?  Typical!  So a neighbour is on standby in case it hasn't arrived by the time we have to leave.  At least once we go into the stage of easing of restrictions where we can have people in our garden, we will be ready to invite people round.  Weather permitting of course, you can never take that for granted!

So all in all, it's a big news week.  Jabs, birthdays and Mothering Sunday in the space of 7 days!  How's your Monday looking?

Yeah for COVID vaccines. I hear that a sore arm is typical so hopefully that's all you & Paul have to deal with. Our vaccine program is in tatters & it changes almost daily, but one thing remains the same, it's unlikely Mr Man & I will get our vaccines much before summer.

Oh how I long to get the patio ready for summer sitting. Let's hope no problems with delivery & it is before you leave.

Hoorah for vaccinations - hope it went well and all you have is a slightly sore arm. The Brainy One goes for his tomorrow. :)

New garden furniture and the prospect of having family and friends in our gardens again - now that is something to look forward to!

Can't wait to hear about your vaccination...oh, you are messaging me!! Yay!!
Hope it was quick and practically painless and that you were able to get home before the table was delivered. Be sure to keep some Aleve or Motrin or the equivalent on board for about 24 hours just in case you get achy and feverish.
Hope you rest just fine tonight. Hugs to you and Coco.

Delighted to hear you are getting your vaccine and hoping the side effects are transitory - and that the delivery of something new for your home helps to take your mind off any side effects. Yes, won't it be lovely when we are allowed to gather in gardens again. Compared to many countries, I think our restrictions have been quite severe and for a long period of time; as a nation we are all being very patient!

I hope all went well with your vaccinations and that you were back home in time for your delivery. Won't it be nice to have friends round for a meal and a chat?

As you can tell, I'm catching up on my blog reading today. So now this post is out of order for me. I'm glad you were able to get your shot! I am heading out today to run some errands and actually visit a friend at her house!! I'm looking forward to getting back to a more normal life.
