13th day of gratitude

Today's prompt is Routine or Habit

This kind of runs on from the photo I posted of teenage Deb yesterday because this prompt took me back to English Literature classes.  It made me think of a line in The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock by T S Eliot where he says he has 'measured out his life in coffee spoons' and this resonates with me because my daily routine definitely involves coffee (and tea)!

Do you have a set routine of hot drinks?  Mine is for a cup of tea in bed before breakfast, cup of coffee about 10.30, cup of coffee after lunch, cup of tea about 4pm and a cup of decaf coffee about 8pm.

PS Daily update - yesterday we were back on Zoom for Zumba, and we have homework this week!  She wants us to learn some new steps so that once we get back in the hall we can do a kind of 'line dance' routine.

I can already imagine the chaos that will ensue!  But we are always up for a challenge and it seems quite repetitive so hopefully it won't be too much of a disaster.

I enjoyed the video & I am sure over the weekend you'll get the routine memorized, could be lots of fun for the class. During this pandemic time I have developed a new hot drink routine, which surprises me that it includes a cup of coffee in the morning! Nice mug.
Happy Weekend.

That's a lovely mug - Emma Bridgewater? I'm a decaf-tea drinker these days - one with breakfast, one late morning, one with The Boy Child when he gets in from school and one around 9 pm. A creature of habit. My GP has told me to limit my consumption of black tea because it possibly inhibits the absorption of iron. :( Oh, and I'll probably have my annual gingerbread latte soon - one shot, de-caf, skinny milk. :)

That's a very pretty mug in which to enjoy your tea/coffee routine ... I used to drink a lot of tea but have switched to Redbush, Mint, and other herbals with the occasional ordinary builder's tea. Your Zumba routine looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!

That zumba routine looks great fun. I'm sure you'll have it sorted in no time. I really miss line dancing.
I am both a tea and coffee drinker. I make a skinny, decaf latte every morning and take it to work in a flask to have about 10am when all is settled in school. I sometimes have a decaf tea when I get in from work and then have another about 8pm. I probably should drink more!!

I'm a tea girl all the way. I start my day with hot tea and later move to iced tea. Sometimes in the winter, I'll have hot tea in the afternoon in front of the fireplace. Love my tea! You will probably not be surprised that I get all my tea direct from England!! Loose! No tea bags for this girl! I brew my own. I stock up when ever I get a chance to be there. I always stop at Twinings on the Strand and must have tea at Fornum and Mason! Probably more than you wanted to know but I just love my tea!
